Experience Green Fig Resort & Spa

Perched on a hillside overlooking the vibrant town of Soufrière, Saint Lucia, this rustic 28-room resort—designed with a charming “treehouse” feel—boasts world-class views of the iconic Pitons, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the shimmering Caribbean Sea. The beach is just a short 5-minute downhill walk away, making it easy to enjoy both mountain serenity and seaside bliss.

Surrounded by lush trees and native wildlife, the resort blends a sense of natural adventure with the lively town and beach atmosphere below, offering a truly unique Caribbean experience.

The area is a playground for explorers and relaxation seekers alike. Discover nearby wonders like the Sulphur Springs, Gros and Petit Piton, nature trails, botanical gardens, waterfalls, and crystal-clear waters perfect for snorkeling, diving, and sunset cruises. For more excitement, try ziplining, ATV rides, or indulge in chocolate and rum tastings—and that’s just the beginning.

Green Fig Resort seeks to blend with the environment and minimize our impact. We take the following steps to reduce our environmental footprint.

  • Solar Panels reducing purchased energy by 33% so far
  • High Efficiency Inverter-type Air Conditioners
  • Solar driven hot water heaters
  • Rainwater collection for landscape watering and pools
  • Water efficient bathrooms
  • Use of soap/shampoo/conditioner dispensers to reduce plastic waste
  • Plastic bottle recycling
  • Food waste donation to local farm 
  • To reduce carbon emissions and keep the air clean, we do not burn any trash or landscaping waste from the property
  • Outdoor lighting on light sensors to ensure lights are only on when needed
  • Double pane windows in many rooms for energy efficiency and noise abatement

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the resort an all-inclusive resort?

All bookings include Continental Breakfast. You have to option to select and book our Full Board Package at time of booking as well, which includes Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and unlimited beverages from our AI Menu!

Is this an adult only property?

We welcome adults and children of 12 years of age and over.

Do all rooms have a view of the Piton and the sea?

Yes, all rooms have a view of the Piton and the Caribbean Sea.

Are all rooms air-conditioned?

All rooms are enclosed and air-conditioned!

Do you have live entertainment?

We have wonderful live entertainment on many nights. Join us for great and intimate performances from 7pm, such as Steel Pan, Piano and Singers!

TV, Phones & Whatsapp Communication

The property does not have phones in rooms. The rooms do not have TVs except for the Romance Suites and Piton Suites (no cable, but apps like Netflix installed). Wi-Fi is available in rooms and the main area, so you can be as disconnected on your vacation as you would like to be.

Communication with the team is therefore possible via Whatsapp (+1758 518 6106) or in person.

How do I book an airport transfer?

Airport transfers (Hewanorra Airport, UVF) can be booked by emailing your flight information to info@greenfigresort.com, at a rate of US$95 per one-way transfer (per couple), which can be charged to your room if you desire.

The driver will be waiting in the small arrivals area and have a sign with your name.

How many pools, restaurants and bars do you have?

We have 3 pools, 1 restaurant and 1 bar.

Do restaurant reservations need to be made?

Yes, restaurant reservations are encouraged as we will prioritize guests with reservations over walk-ins.

What are nearby beaches?

The Soufriere Beach (Park) is about a 7 minute walk downhill from the property.

Paradise (Malgretoute) Beach, Sugar Beach and Anse Chastanet Beach are approximately a 15 minute drive away. 

Do you have pool & beach towels available?

Yes we have pool & beach towels available, you do not need to travel with your own!

Is the property disabled-friendly?

The property is built on a hillside, and steps have to be navigated to reach each room. The property is therefore unfortunately not disabled-friendly. If you prefer not to navigate more than a few steps, the following rooms are the most suitable for you:

When should I book excursions?

You can book any time you desire, you can definitely book these with ease once you have arrived, they are always available.

Should I rent a car or use taxis?

We would personally only recommend renting a car if you are comfortable driving on the left side of the road with a right-hand drive, on more windy, bumpy and narrow roads than you may be used to. If you use a rental car for two trips per day, it could be cost effective versus using taxis, otherwise we would advise to use taxis.

Approximate prices: $95 UVF Airport taxi one way, Taxis to Soufriere Town and Beach are complimentary, $15 one way to the Botanical Gardens, $20 one way to the Sulphur Springs, about $35 one way to Gros Piton, and an SUV car rental should be around $80-$120 per day.

Various public holidays generate various day-time or night-time events in the area.

 

 

Voltage and Adapters

The plugs and voltages are the same as the UK. US guests will need a 3 pronged UK style adapter (we have US to UK style adapters available for our guests).

The voltage is 220v, which means that you cannot use US 110v devices, unless they are dual-voltage. To be safe, read the back of your charger or device and look for “100~240v” which signifies that your device can be plugged in anywhere in the world. If it only states a number in the 100s, you will not be able to use this device on the island without likely damaging it.

99% of all laptops, tablets and phones show “100~240v” and can therefore be plugged in safely.

Mini Fridges and Hairdryers

All rooms are equipped with a mini fridge and a 1800-2000W hairdryer.

Should I bring $US or $EC cash?

The $US is widely accepted and has a fixed exchange rate on the island, there is no real need to exchange your $US for $EC at home prior to coming. Please note that the local banks do not accept $US notes which are ripped or torn in any way, and these can therefore not be accepted at the property either. 

What is the thread count of your linen?

Our linen is 400TC 100% Turkish Cotton Sateen, purchased from Globaltex Fine Linen, Florida, USA.

Do I need to be fully vaccinated in order to visit?

You do not need to be fully vaccinated to stay at our property. See www.stlucia.org for more information.

Cancellation Policy & Covid-19

At time of booking this reservation, your credit card will be charged for 50% of the room rate

Please note we are charged a transaction processing fee of 4% to refund, this 4% will therefore be deducted from the deposit and will not be refundable.
Reservations cancelled within the penalty range period (7/14/30 days before arrival), or reservations NOT cancelled in writing to info@greenfigresort.com will result in a penalty of 50% of the booked nights per your reservation, thus rendering the deposit non-refundable. No Shows (meaning your arrival date passes without you arriving, nor communicating with us prior to that arrival date) will be subject to non-refundable charge of 100% of the booked nights per your reservation. 

You are liable for the cost of the room for the total number of nights it has been booked. Once you have arrived, and you wish to depart prematurely for any reason, you are liable for the cost of the originally booked nights.

If your flight is delayed or cancelled, causing you to arrive later than expected, please email us at info@greenfigresort.com. We also recommend you file a claim with your airline for any lost vacation time. In any case, and for any other event we strongly advise to purchase adequate travel and medical insurance for any eventuality.

With proof that your arrival flight was cancelled for reasons of a hurricane in St. Lucia, or if a hurricane will affect St Lucia for any of your dates of travel, 100% of your deposit will be refunded.

Do you work with travel agents?

We work with travel agents who are able to provide a valid IATA ID card – see https://www.iata.org/en/services/travel-agency-program/idcard/faq/ for more information.

We do not wire commission but can offer a NET rate charged to your agency credit card only.
